Every year since 2015 I’ve created a new Christmas Tree ornament.
As a rule I like to make pieces with lots of stitching but the clean, contemporary shape of this one appeals to me too. With the tiny seed bead “ornaments” dripping off the ends of the branches, it feels very mid-60s to me.
I designed this ornament on a computer, then had the shape and stitching holes laser cut locally, using textured cream cardstock. I hand stitched each ornament myself, including sewing in the tiny red beads.
The cardstock ornament measures 3″ high x 1-1/2″ wide and hangs from a curly brass hook. It comes packaged in a cellophane sleeve closed with a black ribbon bow. So it’s ready to give as a gift – even to yourself for your tree!
