I call this pattern, Burst, because of the energy it exudes.
I designed this pattern on a computer, to be laser cut locally for exquisite precision. I then handstitched it on white cardstock, using just 2 colors of thread. Purple and red is another of my go-to color combinations. The red thread is variegated, which I love using because of the secondary pattern that emerges. I use a tiny #20 “quilting between” needle to ensure the tiny stitching holes remain nearly invisible.
Fireworks is layered on a purple circle, then centered on red cardstock. A 6″ square white mat was added, then framed behind glass in a white 8″ square frame.
Display out of direct sunlight and this framed handstitching can be enjoyed for years to come!
