I call this pattern, Blossom, because of the double layer of points. This particular piece, with these colors, is titled Limeolicious.
I designed this pattern on a computer, to be laser cut locally for exquisite precision. I then handstitched it on white cardstock, using light blue and lime green polyester thread. Sometimes I double the thread for additional accents, like I did with the dark green thread around the perimeter of the blossom. I use a tiny #20 “quilting between” needle to ensure the tiny stitching holes remain nearly invisible.
Limeolicious is layered on a lime green scalloped circle, then centered on navy blue cardstock. A 6″ square white mat was added, then framed behind glass in a white 8″ square frame.
Display out of direct sunlight and this framed handstitching can be enjoyed for years to come!
