I call this pattern, Fanfare, because, duh – and this piece is titled Summer Ferris Wheel.
I designed this pattern on a computer, to be laser cut locally for exquisite precision. I then handstitched it on textured white cardstock, using a deliciously colorful variegated thread. I then outline stitched it with turquoise thread to enhance that color in the varigation. I use a tiny #20 “quilting between” needle to ensure the tiny stitching holes remain nearly invisible.
Summer Ferris Wheel is layered on a turquoise scalloped circle, then centered on white cardstock. A 6″ square white mat was added, then framed behind glass in a white 8″ square frame. I love that look of all white with the handstitched center really giving you an eyeful!
Display out of direct sunlight and this framed handstitching can be enjoyed for years to come!
